Garment Construction
BodySuit
I made a knit body suit using my own pattern based on a sloper. To make it more durable, I double-layered the fabric and used a serger to edge finish the seams. I tested the fit on a model and made minor adjustments. I created a technical flat to document the design and a spec sheet that lists all the materials and measurements needed. These steps ensure the body suit is of high quality and can be replicated in the future.
Jacket Construction
Construct a jacket using a pattern as a guide to cut out the fabric pieces needed. Use fashion, lining, and interfacing materials to create the outer layer, smooth interior, and reinforced areas. Using a sewing machine, we'll follow the pattern's instructions to sew the pieces together and add interfacing and lining for a finished look.
Shirt Construction
For this shirt project, I'm using market research and technical flats to guide the construction of a high-quality finished product. A spec sheet ensures precision by detailing necessary materials and measurements. Using the pattern, I'll cut and sew fabric pieces with straight and secure seams and add finishing touches.
